November 14 is Children’s Day — a special day to celebrate you and these wonder years. It is also a day to remember India’s first prime minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru whose birth anniversary falls on this day.

The Hindu Young World too wishes to celebrate this wonderful day, in its own unique way. It invites you... young, aspiring editors to come live your dream for a day and see how your paper is created. Be a part of its journey.

If you have a flair for writing, are interested in talking to people, and are curious to know more about anything and everything then you are the perfect candidate.

Here’s what you have to do:

1. Talk to kids who have done something to keep their neighbourhood clean. OR 2. Interview an adult who has worked successfully in cleaning a neighbourhood/park/beach. Now, write out your story in not more 200 words and send it to us.

Mail your stories to youngworld@thehindu.co.in or post it to The Hindu Young World, 859/860 Anna Salai, Kasturi Building, Chennai 600002 — with the subject GUEST EDITOR Make sure to write you name, class, school and place.

Eligibility: Only readers from Std. V to VIII are eligible.

If chosen we will provide III AC train travel or ₹5,000 air fare whichever is less, for you and an accompanying adult.

On October 31, you will be expected to be present at The Hindu office on Anna Salai, in Chennai at 10:30 a.m. Your ‘working’ day will come to an end at 5.00 p.m.

The last day to submit entries will be October 19.
