There are many such fun and quirky questions in store for you, to pique your interest in general knowledge, current affairs, sports, history, movies or simply ‘out of the box’ thinking!
OAKiq is an exciting quiz for students, that will be conducted by Oakridge International School, Bachupally, Hyderabad in four cities — Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru, Mohali and Hyderabad. The quiz is powered by The Hindu Young World Club.
Winners of the city quizzes will eligible to participate in the Grand Finale to be held in Hyderabad on January 21, 2017. The quizzes will be conducted by acclaimed Quiz Masters Dr Naveen JayaKumar and Venky Srinivasan.
Teams can be formed with two members from the same school. There are 3 categories under which teams can enrol: Sub-Junior (Grades 4 and 5), Junior (Grades 6, 7 and 8) and Senior (Grades 9 and 10). The registration fee is Rs 500 per team.

Venues and dates:
The Visakhapatnam quiz will be held at Oakridge International School, Tagarapuvalasa Visakhapatnam Campus on November 25 for Sub-Juniors/Juniors and on November 26 for Seniors.
The Bengaluru quiz will be held at Oakridge International School, Bengaluru Campus on December 2 for Sub-Juniors/Juniors and on December 3 for Seniors.
The Mohali quiz will be held at Oakridge International School, Mohali Campus on December 9 for Sub-Juniors/Juniors and on December 10 for Seniors.
The Hyderabad quiz will be held at Oakridge International School, Bachupally Campus on December 16 for Sub-Juniors/Juniors and on December 17 for Seniors.
The Grand Finale will be held in Hyderabad on January 21, 2017. Two teams from each city will qualify for the Finals from each category. The winning team and the runner-up will receive Rs. 25000 and Rs. 10000 respectively.
Teams travelling to Hyderabad for the Finals will be provided with accommodation, double sharing for 2 nights, along with 1 accompanying teacher/guardian. Travel to Hyderabad will be the participant’s responsibility.
