Why a pseudonym?

Often, when we read a book, it may seem familiar or seem you know who has written it from the writing, the tone, or the structure ... However, it may not be the person you thought it was. There are many authors who wrote under a pen name. Also known as a nom de plume or a pseudonym, it is an assumed name used by an author. While some authors write only using their pen name, there are others who write under both their actual name and their pen name.
