Public transport means moving people in large numbers. One of the oldest types of transportation is by boat. Merchants set out in small boats thousands of years ago to trade goods with other people. Today, ships still use old sea routes. In some parts of the world, people still travel by walking or by riding animals, such as donkeys, horses, and camels.
