The monkey grins toothily at the camera and snaps a picture to create the perfect selfie. This World Wildlife Day, let’s celebrate the little joys of interacting with the rich and diverse flora and fauna on the Earth!
David Slater, a nature photographer, went to Indonesia in 2011 to click photographs of Celebes crested macaques (a species of ape). A female macaque got hold of the camera that he had left in the woods and snapped multiple selfies with it! Some of these images clicked by the adorable monkey have become very popular!
