  • Who is a dad?
    A dad is someone who
wants to catch you before you fall
    but instead picks you up,
    brushed you off,
    and let’s you try again.
    A dad is someone who
wants to keep you from making mistakes
but instead lets you find your own way,
even though his heart breaks in silence,
    when you get hurt.
    A dad is someone who
    holds you when you cry,
scolds you when you break the rules,
shines with pride when you succeed,
and has faith in you even when you fall.

    The sunlight
The sunlight, so bright and warm,
Shines down on us, safe from harm.
It helps the flowers grow and bloom,
And fills our hearts with joy and room.
The sunlight, so pure and clean,
Makes the world a brighter scene.
It chases away the dark and cold,
And makes us feel happy and bold.
The sunlight, so full of life,
    Gives us energy to strive.
It helps us see the beauty all around,
And makes us feel happy and sound.
The sunlight, a gift from above,
A symbol of hope and love.
It’s something we should always treasure,
And never take for granted, never measure.

    My friend Sparrow
    My little friend Sparrow,
    Is a cute little fellow
    She works very hard
I have never seen her tired.
    With her small wings
    She flies to find twigs
    To make her lovely nest
    She hardly takes any rest
    With her short beak
    She collects worms to eat
And sits in her cosy nest
    Hiding her tiny feet
She is an active and cheerful bird
She ought to have a special day
I want to give her a card
And wish her a very Happy World Sparrow Day.

    The Crow and the peacock
There was a girl called Rani who was very famous for her stories. One day, when she was on her way to the market, some children asked her to tell a story. This was the tale she told.
Once upon a time, in a faraway jungle, lived many animals. One day, a crow and a peacock went to the king lion.
The peacock said, “Your Majesty, this crow is very jealous of me”.
The crow said, “Your Majesty, I am a dull black. So I don’t want this peacock to be here in this jungle”.
The lion said, “All right. Meet me near the pond tomorrow.”
The next day, when they met, the lion said they had to race each other by doing two laps around the jungle. When the race began, the crow flew fast and finished, while the peacock struggled to lift itself off the ground.
The lion said to the crow, “You are the winner. Have you understood what that means?”
“No, your majesty,” answered the crow.
“Everyone is special in their own way,” explained the lion. Rani concluded her story, “Don’t be jealous of anyone.

    The Sun
What a giant star you are!
In a space that stretches so far
You give sunlight and heat to the Earth,
    And make life worth.
What a fiery ball you are!
All the planets orbit around you,
You give life to the planet, which is blue
    And happiness and joy too.
You are the centre of the Solar System,
You are god to many a kingdom

    The Furry Kitten
    A fluffy ball of fur
    Rolling on the floor;
    Occasionally she purrs,
    And scurries through the door.
    She loves fish and biscuits
    And also milk and cheese;
She is a cute little kitty
And she climbs trees with ease!

    The Monsoon Breeze
    Monsoon Breeze! Sounds strange, right
    Because monsoon and breeze
    Never go together.
While monsoon comes along with thunder and storm
    Breeze is associated with spring.
    But something today happened
Which entirely changed my view in a wink !
    I was doing my homework,
The weather outside being very pleasant
    But I had totally unnoticed
    Suddenly the door got closed
I looked around here and there,
But found none to my great dismay.
At that moment, a cool breeze
    Helped itself through the window
    Looked here and there
    Maybe for a friend.
I say this as the next second
    The tresses of my hair
    Were felt on my cheeks.
    The experience was pleasant
    My hair being recently washed
    Was really contented.
    The breeze
    Introduced herself to me.
I decided to give her a name
But was unable to find one
    Which suited it’s fame.
    Sometime later the showers started
Which in month of August was
    A common cascade.
    The breeze got occupied
To help the rain, to make sure
    That in monsoon
No drop of water goes in vain .
    I was delighted to see
    Nature’s such beauty,
    The breeze too had got a name;
‘Monsoon Breeze ‘ that’s what really
Does justice to its game !

    Fun
Fun makes life run with joy.
A child has fun playing with a toy,
Parents have fun seeing her play.
Teams have fun when they win,
Girls have fun when they spin.
Fishes have fun when they swim,
Men have fun in the gym.
My dear friend, did you have fun now?

    John Wick’s Adventure
Once there lived a very brave man called John Wick. When visiting his friends, someone said, “I have heard about a huge forest, Dooars, shall we go there? So they all set out and camped in a tent. While walking around, they noticed a strange footprint. So they decided to trap the animal and hung a huge net on a tree. The next morning, they found a small dinosaur in the trap. They released it so that they could follow it. It led them to a big hill that was the home of many dinosaurs. Suddenly they saw smoke and realised that the forest was on fire. So they tried to save the dinosaurs. Only John Wick managed to save one. It was sent to a zoo and the trip ended with John Wick finding an extinct species.

    Save our Planet Earth
    Long long ago
There used to be a time
When our Earth was clean and fine.
    The skies were pristine
    The waters were all blue
    Just like a mirror
You could see your reflection too.
    Our lands were golden
    The forests were so green
    You could see many animals
Which are now no more seen.
    Then the animals became rare
    The skies no longer pristine
    The waters became impure
    The forests no longer green.
We ignored the bounties of Nature
    Our greed rules the world
    In search of our comfort
    We stopped to see beyond.
    We have covered the skies
    With thick black smoke
    Thrown garbage in the waters
    Life here chokes.
    In this whole universe
Earth is the only planet with life
If we don’t save it together
None of us will be able to thrive.
    Avoid single-use plastics
    Adopt segregation of waste
    Rethink, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle
    Will set our priorities straight.
    Let’s use renewable energy
    And plant more trees
    Soon our Earth will bloom
And we will live in harmony and peace.
