Intro to Music – 3

Musical instruments are so diverse and have their own unique way of functioning. They have been classified as Melodic or Rhythmic, and in some cases, based on how they are built and function as String, Percussion, Wind etc.

Even primitive instruments like the 'nya' drum, the iktara, and the shepherd's stick have survived a long time. Let's take a look at how they are used, through this video. The sounds they produce and the music they create are wonderful. If you do play an instrument, or plan to learn, it's time to immerse yourself in music! In the next session, we shall look at a few more musical instruments.
