The world map is dotted with many beautiful, pristine and wonderfully unique beaches. Unravel their photos and read about them.

1. Glass Beach

This incredibly beautiful beach near Fort Bragg, California, used to be a dumpsite. It is now filled with sea glass from years of dumping garbage. Isn’t it a sight to behold?

2. Black Sand Beach

In New Zealand, a beach has black sand thanks to the magnetic material present in the sand. In Hawaii, some beaches have black sand, because of the cooled volcanic lava. There are also beaches that have green sand and pink sand.

3. Ice Beach

Jökulsárlón is a glacial lake in Iceland. Where this lagoon flows into the ocean, it leaves chunks of ice on the beach.

4. Columns on the Beach

The dramatic Giant’s Causeway in Ireland is the result of volcanic activity around 50-60 million years ago. The area has around 40,000 interlocking basalt columns.

5. Golden Horn

Often called the ‘Golden Cape’ or the ‘Golden Horn’, the Zlatni Rat in Croatia is a piece of land that extends into the sea. The beach is amazingly known to change shape every two to three years. The narrow tongue-like beach is a major tourist attraction.
