Injuries or medical emergencies happen when least expected. The only thing we can do is be prepared. From a minor cut, a bee sting, to a dress catching fire, learn a few tips on what you can and must do first, before you seek medical help or until help arrives.
Here are a few tips in case of medical emergencies.
First, call!
Memorise the numbers you will need to call in case of any emergency, including that of your parents, and/or neighbours, and the emergency services. Also, write it all down on a piece of paper and put it up where everyone in your family or classroom can see. Here is a basic list of emergency numbers:
National Emergency Number: 112
Police: 100
Fire: 101
Ambulance: 102
For children in need of assistance: 1098
Road Accident Emergency Service: 1073
