The world of theatre has always and continues to have its allure. Young or old, most of us are fascinated by the lights, camera, action, behind-the-scenes activites, and more, that are an integral part of theatres. Here are a few from across the world that have carved a niche for themselves.

La Scala de Milan: This theatre is in Milan, Italy, and stands witness to some of the most famous operas of all time including Arturo Toscanini, Ricardo Muti, Gavazzeni Gianandrea, to name a few.
Moscow Bolshoi Theatre: Famous in Russia, it was built by Prince Piotr Urusoy for Princess Catherine II.
The Sydney Opera House: It is one of the 20th century’s most famous and distinctive buildings. Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, the building was formally opened on October 20, 1973.
Wiener Staatsoper: It was originally called the Vienna Court Opera. In 1920, with the replacement of the Habsburg Monarchy by the First Austrian Republic, it was renamed the Vienna State Opera. The members of the Vienna Philharmonic are recruited from its orchestra.
