April Fools' Day also known as All Fools' Day is celebrated every year on April 1, by playing practical jokes on people. A common activity among some newspapers, magazines, and other media is to report fake stories, which are usually clarified the following day.

Looking back, the first association or citation is believed to be in 'The Canterbury Tales' by Geoffrey Chaucer in 1392. It contained the first recorded association between April 1 and foolishness. So whatever activity you do or news you hear, make sure you check it twice!
