Can you believe that these sandstone arches have occurred naturally over millions of years? The Arches National Park in the USA is home to over 2,000 natural arches.

Years ago, seas covered the large basin in this region. These seas evaporated, leaving behind thick salt beds. Later, sand and boulders carried down by streams eventually buried the salt beds beneath thick layers of stone. Most of the formations at the Arches National Park are made of soft red sandstone. Over the years, the sandstone domes have collapsed, weathered, worn through and evolved into the spectacular rock formations that we see today.

Watch the video to see some of the most amazing arches the park has.
