Have you wondered why many trees have begun to burst into flower much earlier than their usual flowering season? It’s because the Earth is warming up like never before.
Winter and spring seem to end earlier than usual, giving way to a prolonged summer. But when trees flower, the insects, who are the pollinators, may still be hibernating. Without the latter, the flowers cannot turn into fruit. So, we have far less fruit. It’s the same story with vegetables and other crops.
This is only one of the many impacts of the climate crisis. Others include migration pattern of birds, extinction of species, frequent cyclones and unseasonal rainfall, flooding and much more.
Is there anything we can do? Yes, of course. You have all heard of the Three Rs: Recycle, Reduce and Reuse. But, to be true Climate Warriors, you need to follow more Rs. Here is a list of more Rs that can help. Complete the sentences below with these words:
