Every year in mid-January, Makara Sankranti festivities brighten up different parts of the country. The harvest season is a happy time indeed. It is a chance for us to reap the rewards of a bountiful harvest and show our gratitude to nature for all it gives us.
During this time of the year, the sun begins its six-month-long journey northwards. The end of winter and the prospect of brighter and warmer days bring plenty of cheer.
