What happens to a plastic container 500 years from now? Plastics do not disappear. They degrade over many decades into tiny pieces, but they continue to remain, polluting our land and water. One estimate says there are 9.2 billion tonnes of plastic on earth, of which more than 6.9 billion tonnes have become waste. Imagine that!
