Vitamins are substances found in the food we eat. They are essential for our bodies to function properly. Different foods contain different vitamins, so it is important that you eat a variety of food so that your body can get enough of everything.

Every vitamin has a separate role to play. For instance, Vitamin A is important for eyesight. B Vitamins help you get energy from the food you eat. Vitamin C helps repair your body tissues. Vitamin D helps maintain healthy bones and teeth. Vitamin E protects your cells from damage. Vitamin K helps your blood clot.
