Education – East and West

India is a diverse country with a complex education system. The education is provided by public and private sectors through thousands of schools and colleges. Being one of the most populated countries, education has to be delivered at a central, state and local level.

The constitution provides a fundamental right to education for the 5 to 14 age group. Making it free and compulsory though, has been a challenge. There is still a dearth of functioning infrastructure and teachers to achieve the scale that is required. Progress will have to be slow and steady with adequate support from private parties as well.

Every country though, has it's own challenges. In this video, we'll take a look at some data from US and China which also offers a comparison of the educational landscape.
