1. Lata Mangeshkar:

Lata Mangeshkar is one of the best-known and most respected playback singers in India. Her career started in 1942 and has spanned over seven decades. She has recorded songs for over a thousand Hindi films and has sung songs in over 36 languages.

2. Hariprasad Chaurasia:

Hariprasad Chaurasia is an Indian classical flautist, who plays the bansuri, an Indian bamboo flute. He is as credited for his musicianship as for his technical ability on native instruments. He has been honoured with several awards of which one of the most prominent is the Padma Vibhushan.

3. Asha Bhosle:

Asha Bhosle is best known as a playback singer in Hindi cinema, although she has a wider repertoire. Her career started in 1943 and has spanned over six decades. She has done playback singing for over a thousand Bollywood movies. She is also the younger sister of playback singer Lata Mangeshkar.

Bhimsen Joshi was a legendary Indian vocalist from Karnataka. He is known for the khayal form of singing, as well as for his popular renditions of devotional music. He received the Bharat Ratna, which is India’s highest civilian honour.
