Read on and participate in The Hindu In School special nine-part Independence Day Contest. Hurry! Exciting prizes to be won.
From important milestones to the lives of freedom fighters, there’s so much to learn about the Indian independence struggle. The freedom that we enjoy today was made possible due to the grit and determination of thousands of people who stood for the collective rights of a people.
In the run up to August 15, The Hindu in School in association with Kokuyo Camlin brings you a nine-part special series and contest for Independence Day. Watch out for page 3 on July 27 and 29 and then August 1,3,5,8,10,12 and 15 as we bring you insightful articles that detail different aspects of the freedom movement.
What’s more? You don’t have to stop with just being an inquisitive reader. You’ll get a chance to express your gratitude to a freedom fighter whose life has inspired you in some way. Participate in our contest by sending a 50-word thank you note to your favourite freedom-fighter. You will have to write the essay on paper using a pen, scan the handwritten essay and mail it to idcamlincontest@thehindu.co.in by August 10 along with your passport size photograph. Mention your name, class, school and city in the scanned copy as well as the body of the email. The total size of the attachment(s) should not exceed 2MB.
