Intro to Music – 2

In India, music is broadly classified as Folk Music and Classical Music. Classical music is further classified as "Carnatic" which is from the south, and "Hindustani" which is from the north.

Folk music is much more diverse, as its origins are from every nook and corner of India. Remember, India has over 20 major languages and over 500 dialects! Classical music is a lot more structured, and came in much later. Let us listen to a couple of songs!
