Gear up for a grammar task! A noun is a word that denotes a person, animal, place, thing or idea. For example: teacher, tiger, Tanzania, tree, technology, etc. A verb is a word that expresses an action. For example: teach, write, shine, etc. Adjectives are words that describe a noun. They give information about an object’s size, shape, age, colour, origin or material. Eg: Large, intelligent, dark, yellow.
