The World Health Organisation (WHO) has announced a review into the potential risks of plastic in drinking water after a new analysis of some of the world’s most popular bottled water brands found that more than 90% contained tiny pieces of plastic. The study examined 259 water bottles from 27 lots across 11 brands, purchased from 19 locations in nine countries.The countries were the US, China, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Lebanon, Kenya and Thailand.It is essential for water that you drink to have gone through some sort of filter or purification system.Boiling water normally kills most pathogens.Until we stop pollution, and clean up our water systems, we'll continue to face problems.

Even though we know that there are plastic particles both in tap and bottled water, we do not know in what ways consumption of these particles is harmful to human health. Till then, better opt for safe, filtered / boiled water.
