Manu Bhaker hails from Jhajjar, Haryana. She took up shooting at the age of 14 and her first breakthrough came at the 2018 ISSF World Cup, where she won two gold medals. Her success continued at the Commonwealth Games and the Youth Olympics, where she secured multiple gold medals. Manu’s unwavering focus and hard work earned her a well-deserved bronze medal in the 10m air pistol event at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Teaming with Sarabjot Singh, she won a second bronze in the 10m air pistol mixed team event. This makes her only the second Indian to win two medals in a single Olympics. She is also the first woman shooter from India to win a medal at the Olympic Games.
