UNESCO’S list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity is a growing compilation of important intangible cultural heritages worldwide created with the purpose of ensuring their better protection and improving the awareness of their significance.
One of the latest additions to this list isn’t a building, dish, or folk art. It is a culture that is as intrinsic to the country it represents as yoga is to India: Singapore’s Hawker culture. It was added to the list in December last year.
