Towards the end of 2019, health officials announced that 27 people in the city of Wuhan, China, were infected with a strain of what is known as the ‘Coronavirus’. Since then, the number of people infected have risen and so has the number of deaths because of it. The virus is now spreading to other parts of the world.
Coronaviruses begins like a common cold but is much more severe. Because of its severity, it tends to spread quickly from one person to another if precautions are not taken.

The World Health Organisation has declared the coronavirus outbreak a global emergency.
