The entrance to the tomb of King Tutankhamun, who ruled Egypt more than 3,000 years ago, was first discovered in 1922 in the Valley of the Kings, located on the west bank of the Nile river in Luxor. Presently, cutting-edge technology (including high-precision scanners) is being used to unravel anything else that might be buried in various historical sites in Egypt. A new search for hidden chambers in the tomb of King Tutankhamun is underway which might shed more light on King Tut’s wife Ankhesenamun as well as Queen Nefertiti.
