Recently, skies in many countries around the world were painted with stunning colours as the Northern Lights and Southern Lights put on a magical display. A strong geomagnetic storm caused the spectacular phenomenon.
Called Aurora Borealis, the Northern Lights are typically seen in high latitudes, but this time they were visible farther south than usual. In fact, a rare stable auroral red arc was visible even in Ladakh, India.
