Water is extremely important for our health. Here are a few reasons why -

1. Drinking enough water prevents our body from over-heating.

2. About 75% of our brain is made of water. We need to stay hydrated to ensure that our brain cells are functioning well. It also helps our short-term memory!

3. The lungs are made of about 83% water. Water helps the lungs to process oxygen.

4. Water helps the blood and circulation system to transport minerals and nutrients that are absorbed by our body.

5. Our muscles are made up of about 75% water. The muscles are helped by the nervous system that provides electrolytes. Water also provides a cushion for our joints with the help of our muscles and ligaments.
