What do the Function keys do?

The Function keys
The Function keys or the ‘F’ keys are the keys on the top row of your keyboard. There are a total of 12 Function keys, each executing a different function. On a laptop keyboard, some of the function keys are used for reducing or increasing the volume, muting the speaker or increasing or decreasing the brightness. In such cases, there is a key marked ‘Fn’, which when pressed along with the function key, will execute the F key’s default function.
