Multiplication is basically repeated addition. The terms used often are Factors and Result. Here are some tips to be able to solve multiplication sums.
1. Memorise your tables.
2. Tip for 9’s: Hold up both hands. For 9 × 4, fold down the 4th finger. Fingers on the left = 3, on the right = 6 → 36!
3. Turn It Around: If 4 × 7 seems hard, flip it to 7 × 4—same answer!
4. Skip Counting: Count by 2s, 3s, or 5s (e.g., 5, 10, 15, 20).
5. Double and Halve: 4 × 6 → Double 4 (8), then halve 6 (3) → 8 × 3 = 24.
