“The book of nature has no beginning, as it has no end. Open this book where you will, and at any period of your life, and if you have the desire to acquire knowledge you will find it of intense interest, and no matter how long or how intently you study the pages, your interest will not flag, for in nature there is no finality.” ― Jim Corbett

Jim Corbett a British hunter, tracker, naturalist, and author, had a long-standing love affair with nature and wildlife, especially the tigers. He turned from one who hunted a number of man-eating tigers and leopards in India – about 19 and 14 respectively – to a man credited with establishing India’s first national park.

Jim Corbett National Park is the oldest national park in India and was established in 1936 to protect the endangered Bengal tiger. It was formerly known as Hailey National Park and later renamed in 1957 in Corbett’s honour.

Spot them!

The park – the first to come under the Project Tiger initiative – is a popular ecotourism spot, for the sights it offers of animals big and small. From among the animals featured below, can you identify only the six that can be spotted at the Jim Corbett National Park?
