Children’s Day is all about you, our incredibly talented young readers. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that six children from around the country will be chosen to be Guest Editors for our special issue dated November 10, 2023.
How to apply:
Dreaming beyond the limits of reality, achieving the impossible… this issue is all about whimsy and fancy. The theme is “If wishes were horses…”
Let your imagination soar! Write an article about one of the following topics:
My dream invention: If I could invent a gadget or app, what would it be and why?
Superhero stuff: If I could be an imaginary superhero for a day, who would I be and why?
Time turner: If I could go back in time, which historic event would I visit and why?
Changemaker: If I could change 10 things in the world, what would they be?
Just say no: What are the 10 rules that shouldn’t apply to you and how would you have it instead?
Dreamy BFFs: Who is the one famous person you would want to be friends with and why?Word limit: Maximum 500 words
Age limit: Open to children in Standards VI, VII and VIII
Last date for submission: September 25, 2023
On November 1, 2023, the six winners will get to spend the day at The Hindu office in Chennai, working alongside our team. We’ll take care of travel and accommodation for the child and one accompanying adult.
