Injuries or medical emergencies happen when least expected. The only thing we can be expected to do is be prepared. From a minor cut, a bee sting, to a dress catching fire, learn a few tips on what you can and must do first, before you go seeking medical help or until help arrives.
Here are a few tips on what you can do in case of medical emergencies.
First, call!
Memorise the numbers you will need to call in case of any emergency, including that of your parents, and/or neighbours, and the emergency services. Also, write it all down on a piece of paper and put it up where everyone in your family or classroom can see. Here is a basic list of emergency numbers:
National Emergency Number: 112
Police: 100
Fire: 101
Ambulance: 102
For children in need of assistance: 1098
Road Accident Emergency Service: 1073
