The theme this year is: GirlForce: Unscripted and Unstoppable. In 1994, 30,000 people from 200 countries gathered in Beijing, China for the Fourth World Conference on Women. They were determined to recognise the rights of women and girls as human rights. At this conference, Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action was adopted. Today, we fight child marriage, inequality, violence, climate change, self-esteem and the right for girls to study.

The Function keys
The Function keys or the ‘F’ keys are the keys on the top row of your keyboard. There are a total of 12 Function keys, each executing a different function. On a laptop keyboard, some of the function keys are used for reducing or increasing the volume, muting the speaker or increasing or decreasing the brightness. In such cases, there is a key marked ‘Fn’, which when pressed along with the function key, will execute the F key’s default function.

Bianca Andreescu created history by becoming the first player to win the US Open on her main-draw debut. She was also the first from her country to win a Grand Slam singles championship.

In September, 19-year-old Canadian Bianca Andreescu defeated American Serena Williams 6-3, 7-5 in the final to win the US Open.

In the process, she not only became the first Canadian player to win a Grand Slam singles championship, but also became the first player ever to win the US Open on her main-draw debut.
